How does BookiFi work, and is it free to use?

BookiFi is a community-driven book-sharing platform that allows users to borrow, lend, and discover books within the 1Roof ecosystem. It’s free to list and borrow books, but certain features, like delivery via 1Roof lockers or extended borrowing periods, may require a small credit or Holara token fee. Users earn rewards for participation, such as lending books, writing reviews, or referring friends, which can be redeemed for additional book borrows or platform perks.

What happens if I damage or lose a borrowed book? 

We encourage all users to treat borrowed books with care. If a book is accidentally damaged, minor wear and tear is understandable, but if it's significantly damaged or lost, BookiFi may charge a replacement credit or request that you replace the book with an equivalent title. The original lender also has the option to waive any penalties if they choose to participate in the “pay-it-forward” model. Our support team is available to help facilitate fair resolutions.

Where can I pick up and return books? 

BookiFi offers multiple exchange options to make borrowing and returning books simple. You can coordinate a direct handoff with the lender, pick up from a designated 1Roof locker for secure, contactless access, or, in some cases, opt for home delivery if the lender offers it. When returning a book, you’ll have the same options—simply check the return instructions in your account for details on the selected exchange method.

How do I earn and use Holara tokens on BookiFi

Holara tokens are earned by participating in BookiFi activities, such as lending books, leaving reviews, or referring new users. These tokens can be used to unlock premium features like extended borrow periods, delivery options, or even converted for use in other 1Roof marketplaces. BookiFi also offers donation opportunities where users can contribute Holara to literacy programs or community book drives.
